Sustainably managing your surplus commercial textiles can be a challenge. Happily, we have a solution.
At Textile360, we work with our partners – that’s you! – to find planet-friendly solutions for your surplus commercial textiles. We focus on salvage to reduce the impact of waste that already exists, and also innovation to design-out waste before it happens, saving costs and reducing the need for raw materials for new products.
If you use commercial textiles in your business, gather up your surplus– rolls, remnants, samples, foam, yarn, ribbons, buttons – and get in touch with our team. We can help you give them a second life!
How it works
Supply to us
We’re here for your extra textiles. Fabric on rolls can stay on rolls. Please leave paper and cardboard headers, tags and other labels on.
We can also provide reusable bags or boxes for folded fabric remnants or other items.
Simply drop off your textiles (by arrangement) at our store in Coorparoo absolutely free. Or, depending on your location, we can arrange collection at no cost or for a small fee.
Processing
Once we receive your textiles, we sort and weigh the collected stock, and prepare it for its next life.
In some instances we may charge a small processing fee, which as a social enterprise helps cover our costs. Our processing fees are less than Brisbane City Council commercial landfill fees, saving you money too.
Feedback
We believe in real transparency and impact tracking. That’s why we provide detailed data to you so you can track how much textile surplus you’ve diverted from landfill.
This info can help you measure your own sustainability efforts, and it allows you to share that positive impact with your own customers and community.
Promotion
The more we share, the more we can help. With your permission, we feature your business as a partner on our website and Instagram, proudly showcasing your wonderful contributions to textile sustainability.
Rehoming
We don’t just divert waste. We also give it a new life. Your textiles are donated, upcycled and repurposed or on-sold to people who can use those resources for artistic or creative, and often charitable endeavours or for other innovative purposes.
Rethinking
There are so many ways to reduce waste, and we can work with you to explore these. Through collaboration we can achieve smarter, long-term waste reduction and find more innovative ways to reuse textiles and rethink systems to prevent waste into the future.
